this is one of my favorite quotes in a song, it is from "morphine child" by Savatage. what the singer says ,as I believe, is that people can't handle the knowledge about all the hurt and trouble in the world so they choose to forget and not to pay attention. they "let it fade till it's very vague" but still this memory haunt us
